"Window on the World" painting by Mike Mahon
Home On The Range
I giggle and I sigh,
When I see the wonder of all that is around me.
It is but a perfect sight.
As I drove my Chevy straight to the wide rugged open sky,
Texas has welcomed me.
My nights are filled with twinkling stars,
My heart skip beats when rugged cowboys open doors for me.
A margarita or two I just might ride that horse with you.
Pretty blue eyed beauties that are
Like comfy quilts embrace their rugged men.

The sight of yellow roses,
The wide open spaces.
Ahhh, this is where I'll rest.
My wandering soul has found a home.
