"Sweeping Shadows" painting by Mike Mahon

Moving To Texas

I lost my Gucci pumps on the way to Texas from LA.
I bought me some ropers and blue faded jeans.
I watch Bass fishing and traded sauvignon for a bud or two.
I ditched the Volvo for a Kick ass Chevy too.

Tell me if I'm in the right place where I can be all woman and yet free.
I'll chew tobacco and spit under a tree.
I run around like crazy when there's a freeze alert.

This is Texas and I'm here here to stay.
I love that southern cooking served on a tray.
