Where It All Began

The first question I have always been asked is, "You sure you have it right? "Pallet" Shouldn't that be "Palette"......" "Pallet," noun: A small bed on the floor...... Yup! Got it right, for as a boy growing up in a large family in rural Texas during and following WW II and the Depression I often slept on either a pallet on the floor, or four to a bed. And praise the Lord, I survived and look back with a great warmth and love of that simple life. My mother never "sent" me to church... she took us with her! Family, love, trust, honor, faith..... all those words had meaning then. And now they form the foundation upon which I write, for it has become a part of me, the beginning of the communication of my soul and the sharing all my emotions and values.

I will continue to share my lite poetry and of romatic passion with you, but from time to time I will also share short happy stories about my boyhood in rural Texas. I hope that from these stories you will be able to come to know me, and to know the values I hold and why! I will not write often to this section, but I will be adding pages slowly as time permits. I will always share these pages with you and hope you come back to this section often.
